Finally finished the Front cover and Contents page, it was hard from the beginning just getting used to using Indesign and Photoshop, the first time i had properly used both as well. Still now its gets a little confusing, but you learn new stuff each lesson, and i now know the basics to each application.
The front cover went OK i think, from designing the logo i had started to struggle, but once i had it done, everything went well from there. However i would take more variety of pictures if i were to do this task again, as i thought they were not the best of pictures, but they did work at least. Thinking of the layout was the hardest past, especially for the front cover, not so much the contents page. But i kept the colour scheme and font scheme going well, and made sure there wasn't any mistakes with that. The contents page was easier and i managed to get it complete quite quickly. The only thing i kept messing up on was the blocks of colour, it gets quite annoying when your trying to place everything where you want it and perhaps it wont go there as easy as you want it to. But once i completed both the only thing was to change the files in export to jpegs. So overall i think the task went well, but not brilliant, if i were to do it again, i would appraoch each thing differntly and think about the layout more in detail, so i knew what i was doing and how i would do it. That way i wouldn't get myself annoyed or worked up about certain things, like the pictures, or the layout.

Contents Page
This went better then the Front cover, when it came to developing it on Indesign, i managed to get it done in the space of one lesson, which i was happy about as i did have to catch up. It was easier as i learned and figured out what to do and what not to do from the front cover. I like the layout to this and how that came along, keeping the colour scheme the same throughout with the Blue, Black and Pink. However if i were to change anything it would have to be the layout of the actual contents, the text. I'm not to happy about how it panned out, seems quite simple. As well as the pictures, if i were to do this differently in future, I'd make sure i had more of a selection of pictures, so the magazine looked all together quite eye catching and appealing.
Final front cover
This is my final front cover, i managed to get it finished finally, whilst learning new things from Indesign, how to export, to change the files into jpeg, how to place pictures into the frame, and them fit them proportionately. As well as keeping to my color scheme of the black, pink and blue. It got quite irritating in places, when it came to the blocks of colour, and moving them back so the text could be seen over the top. It was also hard coming up with the layout, and what to put in each space, as well as filling up the page with captions that would make the magazine appealing.

Preliminary task - Front cover
In this lesson, we have started on our front covers, for the college magazine. Iv'e been working on photoshop changing the format of the pictures to eps's and placing them into Indesign, as well as the logo (tittle) Since then iv'e been trying to practise writing text onto lines, and playing around with the layout. Still not happy with what iv'e done so far, so i need to keep working on the final outcome.
